Letter FROM the Editor

I was reading Sports Illustrated this morning at the gym. I often read the letters to the editor page and wonder how on earth people write such stupid letters to a national magazine. I mean really! Just STUPID. I ripped out the page of letters to the editor today and intended to quote this one idiot and name him but darn it... that page is sitting, folded in half, on the bike at the gym. I can't find the letters to the editor on si.com so I will have to tell you in general what it says.

Dear Editor:
After seeing the photo in a recent issue, re-capping the Super Bowl, I notice that the NY Giant's linemen is clearly holding the Patriot's pass rusher... this infraction allowed Peyton Manning the time he needed to complete the pass to David Tyree....

Shock of all shocks guess what state this asshole lives in? Massachusits! Big f'ing shock. What a cry baby. I seriously was going to look him on the title company webpage and send him a letter at HOME. In fact, as I read the guys letter to the editor I was thinking he sounds like such a moron I hope someone else wrote the letter and just put his name on it as a practical joke.

If I were the editor of SI I would reply and I would reply in print so everybody could see it.

Dear Whining Patriot's Homer:
Your letter is well written enough that I assume you are older than 10 years old. I should hope that anybody older than about 10 does not blame the refs for anything in sports. There really is not a sadder thing to hear than an adult blaming the refs for their team's loss. Your team LOST. I hope you don't have children because we need the next generation to be less of whiners. Instead of instilling our children with this loser mentality we need to teach them to play as hard as possible and not blame the refs because the refs never lose you the game; your team did! People like you help perpetuate this whining in sports which is really pathetic. It's basically the cry of a huge loser. You lost, deal with it, and move on with your life because remember... THIS IS JUST SPORTS. Plus, more importantly, life is full of "referees" who make bad calls; be it potential customers, Judge's, or others. DEAL WITH IT. I hope you get a life in the near future. Thanks for being a subscriber! -Editor

peace out.
