Highway Robbery

We were going to do a luau one night. Thought the kids would enjoy. We heard the Old Luau in Lahaina is reasonably priced so I just checked it out on-line. $92 for adults and $62 for children plus tax? That's $450 for our party of 5! That is highway f'ing robbery! Plus my kids will be good for about 15-20 minutes probably not the full 3 hour show. They have a FREE show at Whaler's Village. Let's see $450 or free? Let me think on that one for about one second! There's a little pizza place next door to the free stage so I think a little pizza, on the grass, by the FREE show sounds perfect! Maybe I will get some Hawiian pizza!

Went for a nice run this morning. Up the beachside pathway, through the golf course and then back down the streets of Kanapali. The beachside pathway was too busy as it was about 9:00 AM. I am not fast but I am too fast for that pathway at that hour! Thirty minutes in the humidty was enough for me. Got a good workout and at least earned my next meal of the day!

Yesterday evening I asked the little dude what his favorite part of the day was. They were so many fun moments right!? He answered, "watching cartoons." That just can't be true and I will just assume he wasn't thinking when he answered me. Between that and his comment last week about wanting to be at the Red Lion in Modesto with the indoor pool I am thinking this trip is really a waste of money! Another perfectly sunny 80 degree day should make be put aside any concern about it being a waste!

Ok, so tell me this picture is not pretty darn good to be taken with the camera phone!? I can't believe it. I took it sitting at dinner last night. Just mentioning it reminds me how good that blackened fish with the Hawaiian salsa is. I hope we get back there, or a similar place, tonight.
