Ok, I am particular about my food and my service but I need to complain about my burito today at lunch. It's Friday and I am kickin' it out in Roseville. No lunch plans so I decide to go over to Q'doba to grab a veggie burito and then hustle back to the office to buy some baseball cards on Ebay. Simple pleasures of life.
So I drive over to Q'doba, park the G'ride, and rumble inside. Just one gal in front of me in line. She appears to know at least one employee and is ordering her burito bowl with great care. Looked to be shredded pork she was having. I quickly order my veggie burito with the black beans but I am still behind the slow order lady. I don't like to crack on people but she was weighing in at 260+ so I don't have to tell you what the answer was to the cheese and sour cream question. She finally got up to pay for her 5 million calorie burito bowl and it turned out she was an employee. It took 5 minutes to ring her up as they paperwork for her to sign to get the employee discount, yada, yada, yada.... It seems to me they should ring up the ONE full paying customer and then get back to the employee but as usual the customer is always wrong.
I need to back up a step because you know what got me... how the lady put my burito together. I am simple, hot salsa, corn salsa and guac. So the lady throws the salsas on top of my black beans and rice. She then throws the guac in one big glob. Basically at the end of my burito was a pile of hot salsa and a glob of guac in the middle. Surely she will roll the burito from the one side which would allow the guac to spread more evenly... no. Ok, surely she will knead it with her fingers as she rolls the burito so I don't just get one huge glob of guac in the middle of my burito... no. I got a burito with a pile of hot salsa at one end and a glob of guac in the middle. Yes, I could open it up and fix it but that's why I am paying them seven bucks... to do it right.
I did buy a few cards at lunch so it wasn't a total loss but my burito chef really needs to go back to school.
peace out.
